Blog on Related Sites
By blogging on sites related to yours, you have a better chance of having your incoming links carry a lot of weight; or as Google puts it: more votes. Here are a few best practices for focussed blogging:
1. Blog on pages that have your keywords in the title bar
2. Look for your keywords several times on the page
3. Verify PageRank of the homepage and the blog page.
4. Always include your keywords in any link you add to your blog.
Places to Blog on the Web
Okay, you've blogged on every related website you can find, now you need a list of places to blog that aren't related. But why? Every link counts for something, and you never know when somebody might decide to pickup your weblog in an RSS and slap it on their homepage. It doesn't happen often, but it can happen.
